1. Who you are hiring
Pope Studios is the public brand operated by Disagree LLC. Mike Pope writes, performs, and directs the creative work. By purchasing, submitting an intake, or approving a proposal, you agree to these terms and any written scope supplied for the project.
2. Orders and project scope
Each product covers only the deliverables and rights stated on its order page, Stripe checkout, intake, proposal, or invoice. A $199 Private Mr. Yeser Video and a $299 Featured Mr. Yeser Video each cover one recipient and one original personal-use video. Group, event, business, sponsored, and commercial work requires a separately confirmed scope.
Pope Studios may ask for clarification, decline incomplete material, or pause production until required information or permission is provided.
3. Payment, cancellations, and refunds
- Fixed-price personal videos are paid in full through Stripe before production.
- Group, event, business, custom, and commercial work follows the payment schedule in the written proposal or invoice.
- A personal-video order may be canceled for a full refund before scripting begins.
- Once custom creative work begins, the order is nonrefundable except when Pope Studios cannot fulfill the agreed service.
- Creative preferences, audience reaction, social performance, or a change of occasion are not defects and do not create a refund right.
- Approved third-party expenses, rush work, completed milestones, and licensed usage already delivered are nonrefundable unless the written scope says otherwise.
4. Timing and delivery
Standard personal-video delivery is within five business days after Pope Studios receives a complete intake and matches it to payment. Requested dates are not guaranteed until confirmed. Delays caused by missing information, permission questions, buyer changes, force majeure, platform outages, illness, or events outside reasonable control extend the schedule as reasonably necessary.
5. Revisions and factual corrections
A personal-video order includes one reasonable factual correction if Pope Studios misstates a detail that was clearly submitted before production. It does not include a new premise, a different recipient, replacement stories, a changed occasion, a full rewrite, or subjective revisions because someone imagined a different joke. Larger projects follow the revision rounds in their written scope.
6. Content standards and the right to decline
Pope Studios may decline, revise, or cancel requests involving harassment, threats, discrimination, sexual content involving minors, unlawful conduct, dangerous instructions, unauthorized private information, false endorsements, impersonation, material deception, or statements reasonably likely to be defamatory. Political requests are accepted only at Pope Studios' discretion and may not falsely imply Mike Pope, Mr. Yeser, Pope Studios, or another person endorses a candidate, party, position, or claim.
Satire does not create permission to publish false factual allegations about a private person. The buyer is responsible for the accuracy and lawful submission of the underlying facts and materials.
7. Buyer materials and permissions
You keep ownership of materials you own. You grant Pope Studios the limited rights needed to review, store, edit, reproduce, and use those materials to provide the purchased service. You represent that you have authority to submit every name, story, image, logo, recording, handle, trademark, and other item in the brief.
If a minor is identifiable, you must be the parent or legal guardian or have appropriate permission from the parent, guardian, school, team, or organization. Pope Studios may require written proof before producing or publishing the work.
8. Ownership of Pope Studios work
Pope Studios and Disagree LLC retain all rights in Mike Pope's performance, Mr. Yeser, Pope Studios branding, scripts, formats, characters, methods, source files, unused concepts, and underlying intellectual property. Purchasing a deliverable does not transfer the character, copyright, trademark, raw footage, project files, or the right to create derivative commercial work.
9. Private and Featured publication
A Private order is delivered privately and is not automatically posted by Pope Studios. A Featured order includes the buyer's permission for Pope Studios to edit, caption, excerpt, publish, promote, and display the finished video and approved submitted materials through Pope Studios channels.
Pope Studios retains editorial control over whether, when, where, and how a Featured video is published. No platform, posting date, tag, placement, views, reach, engagement, conversion, or virality is guaranteed. Pope Studios may decline, postpone, edit, archive, or remove publication when reasonably necessary.
10. Personal and commercial use
Personal-use buyers may download, text, email, display, and post the delivered file on personal accounts without paid promotion. They may not resell it, license it, run it as advertising, use it in sponsored content, place it in business marketing, train a model on it, remove ownership notices, or imply an endorsement beyond the actual content. Commercial rights require a separate written license.
11. Third-party platforms
Stripe, social networks, file-delivery services, email providers, and other platforms operate under their own terms. Pope Studios is not responsible for their outages, moderation decisions, account actions, algorithm changes, payment-method availability, or continued hosting.
12. Disclaimer and limitation of liability
Creative services are provided as custom expressive work. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Pope Studios disclaims implied warranties not stated in the written scope and is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, punitive, or consequential damages, lost profits, lost reach, or reputational outcomes. Pope Studios' aggregate liability for a claim is limited to the amount paid for the specific service giving rise to that claim.
13. Buyer responsibility and indemnity
You are responsible for claims arising from materials, facts, instructions, permissions, or uses you supplied or authorized. To the extent permitted by law, you agree to defend and hold Disagree LLC, Pope Studios, and Mike Pope harmless from third-party claims caused by your unauthorized submission or use.
14. Governing law and changes
Illinois law governs these terms, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be brought in a court of competent jurisdiction in Illinois unless the parties agree otherwise. If one provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue. Pope Studios may update these terms prospectively; the version in effect when an order is placed governs that order unless both sides agree in writing.
15. Contact
Questions about an order, cancellation, permission, license, or these terms should be sent to Mike Pope through the contact information on Pope Studios. Include the buyer email used at Stripe checkout.
